Body:	Winner of Cat Writers Association's Muse Medallion. In a recent review: The simple fun of the world of cats. I enjoyed the whimsy and lightness of voice that these poems carried. Even near the end of the collection as the cats age and the book takes on a darker, more weary tone, one senses the life of cats well-loved and well-observed and that carries its own nice telling that arches over the entirety of the collection. There is a real tenderness here and the kind of concentrated gaze that an artist can and should apply to what is being observed and re-created on the page or on the canvas. Of course, I can't help but admire that these are all done in formal verse and that the poet works as conversationally, as naturally in that form as Frost does.
